Virginia Keller passed from this life on December 25, 2025 at the age of 97 in Pawnee, Oklahoma following a stroke.
Virginia was born on September 9, 1928, in Temple, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Eva (Scott) Phipps. Virginia grew up and attended school in Chickasha, Oklahoma later moving to Oklahoma City graduating from Classen High School. Following high school Virginia attended college at Oklahoma A&M graduating in 1950. She was united in marriage to Albert "Bill" Keller in 1955. Virginia taught elementary school for many years. Finished her teaching career in Terlton and Cleveland. She started an aerospace education program which later got her active in Civil Air Patrol and was a squadron commander, public affairs officer for Oklahoma and was the Oklahoma Wing Commander. Viginia served as Mayor of Maramec from 1987 till 2017.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband Bill Keller, son Michael Keller. Survived by Michaels wife , daughter-in-law Caren Keller of Mannford, Oklahoma, Scott Keller and his wife Teri of Maramec, Oklahoma, grandchildren Seth Keller and wife Jackie of Cushing, Oklahoma, Dana Morrey and husband Eric of Mannford, Oklahoma, Greg Keller and wife Teresa of Wichita, Kansas; fourteen great grandchildren Ryker, Alijah, Liam, Gianna, James, Juliana, Joseph, Leona, Aiden, Owen, Oliver, William, Anna and Patrick.
Rosary services will be 6:00 pm, Friday, January 2, 2026, at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home Chapel. Mass will be 10:00 am, Saturday January 3, 2026, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Cushing, Oklahoma. Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.
