Tyler Andrew McKinley passed from this life on June 24, 2026, at the age of 31 in Tulsa.
Tyler was born on August 15, 1994, in Bakersfield, California. He was the son of John Andrew and Raygenna Marie (Browning) McKinley. Tyler grew up in Bakersfield and attended school there, graduating from high school in 2012. After high school, Tyler worked as a welder in the oil industry. In 2015, Tyler moved to Oklahoma and began working in Cushing for R and R Contracting. Then, I later worked at Valmont Industries before working at Tulsa Inspection. Later, through mutual friends, he was introduced to Kaycie Guinn, and the two were married on April 27, 2019. Tyler was currently employed with Keystone Energy as an account manager.
Tyler embraced life with an adventurous spirit and a love for spending time with those who meant the most to him. He enjoyed being outdoors, whether he was golfing, fishing, hunting, or taking the boat out on the lake to make lasting memories with family and friends. Tyler enjoyed coaching softball and was always willing to share his encouragement and enthusiasm with others. In his younger years, he loved skateboarding, and throughout his life, he maintained a playful and competitive side, enjoying bowling, disc golf, shooting pool, and spending countless hours playing Xbox with friends. He also looked forward to gathering around a good meal, especially at Craw Pappies and The Brook, and was always eager to try anything made out of pasta with plenty of spice. Tyler could also make some of the best street tacos. Above all, Tyler will be remembered for his fun-loving personality, his adventurous heart, and the many cherished moments he shared with those he loved.
Survivors include his wife, Kaycie; daughter, Adley; father, John McKinley; mother, Genna McKinley; siblings, Khrystal Williams, Heather McKinley, and Sarah McKinley; and numerous other relatives and friends. Tyler was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm, Thursday, July 2, 2026, at the Western Heights Baptist Church. Mark Jackson will be officiating the services. Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements. Friends and family may visit an online guest book and memorial page for Tyler at www.chapman-black.com.
