Terry Ackley

Terry Lee Ackley, 64, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away on August 19, 2025.

Born on March 12, 1961, in Tulsa, Terry was the son of Jerry and Jannette (Ross) Ackley. He grew up in Tulsa and Cleveland, Oklahoma, and graduated with the Cleveland High School Class of 1979. On June 20, 1980, Terry married Pam Miller in Cleveland, beginning a lifelong partnership.

Throughout his career, Terry worked in a variety of roles, including positions at Indian Electric, Rockwell, O'Reilly Auto Parts, and the Oklahoma Blood Institute. Most recently, he served as manager at 4 Seasons Cleaning.

Terry loved the outdoors and cherished time spent with his family, especially on their many road trips and camping adventures. From picnics on the beach behind their home to camping under the stars in Alaska's Mt. McKinley Park, he made sure his family experienced the beauty of nature together. The family also explored destinations like Mt. Rushmore, Florida, St. Louis, Graceland, Noah's Ark, Carlsbad, New Mexico, and the mountains of Colorado. Among his most meaningful travels were mission trips to El Salvador and Canada during his youth.

Terry had a passion for coin collecting, genealogy, and exploring old cemeteries, always eager to uncover the stories of those who came before. One of his most recent and meaningful journeys was to Tamaha, Oklahoma, tracing his maternal lineage. He also enjoyed quiet evenings at home watching classic Westerns.

Terry is survived by his daughters Tabitha Rhatigan and her husband Wes, and Tara Lang and her husband Kodi; his mother, Jannette Ackley; brothers Eric Ackley and his wife Lori, and Chris Ackley and his wife Pam; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
