Teresa Lemon

Teresa Diane Lemon passed from this life on December 12, 2023, at the age of 69 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Teresa was born on June 14, 1954, in Hominy, Oklahoma, the daughter of Basil Duane and Dorothy Mae (Crider) Gilley.  Teresa grew up and attended school in Cleveland where she completed her education.  Following high school, she moved to Tulsa then later moved to Lubbock, Texas, and accepted employment with Texas Instruments in the early 1970's.  She returned to the Cleveland and Hominy area, where she started working for the Hominy EMS and was also a swimming instructor.   Teresa also worked at the Cleveland Area Hospital, Hominy Hospital, and Cleveland EMS for many years.  In the early 1990s, Teresa completed her education as a Licensed Practical Nurse and started working at the St. John's Medical Center in the Neonatal ICU.  Her last position was as the company nurse for Word Industries in Tulsa.  While at Word Industries she met Ronnie Gene Lemon.  They were later united in marriage on June 22, 2002.  The two established their home in Cleveland where she was currently residing. 

Teresa loved being outdoors, especially being on the water.  Teresa and Ronnie would travel many miles taking their jet skis for the weekends.  Their favorite place to visit was Panama City Beach, Florida.  Later in life Teresa loved online shopping and taking dogs on daily rides to get pup treats.  

Survivors are daughter Jami Hudson and son-in-law Mike of Stillwater, Oklahoma; siblings Loretta Patak of Perry, Oklahoma, Juanita Short of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Patricia Ann Marcum of Harrah, Oklahoma; sister-in-laws Chris Gilley of Cleveland, Oklahoma, and Kathy Gilley of Osage, Oklahoma; three grandchildren Dylan Marone, Eric Marone and his wife Sienna, and Cady; two great-grandchildren Collins and Tate as well as a host of other relatives and friends.  Teresa was preceded in death by her husband Ronnie Lemon; parents Basil and Dorothy Gilley; one son Steven Eric Fernandez; siblings Jackie Gilley, Richard Gilley, and Duane Gilley; sister-in-laws Joan Gilley and Patricia Gilley.

Services will be held at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at 2:00 pm. Burial will be later in the Fort Gibson National Cemetery with her husband Ronnie.
