Stuart Dean Goodman, 75, of Pawnee, Oklahoma passed from this life on June 18, 2024, at the age of 75 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Stuart was born on August 4, 1948, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the twin son of Bert Edward and Ira Leona (McAfee) Goodman. Stuart grew up in Sand Springs attending Charles Page High School graduating with the Class of 1967. Following high school Stuart was drafted into the service of his country in the Marines. Serving his time in Vietnam, Lance Corporal Stuart Goodman drove a truck supplying the front lines as well as an ambulance. In January of 1970, LCPL Stuart Goodman was honorably discharged and returned to Sand Springs. Stuart was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Dildy on April 23, 1970, in Sand Springs, Oklahoma where they initially established their home. Stuart began working as a driver at Meadow Gold in downtown Tulsa. Stuart then accepted employment with Pepsi Co where he worked until 1976. In 1976, Stuart began working with his brother Bert then later established Goodman Construction in the early 1980s. In the mid-1980s, Stuart moved his family to Mannford, Oklahoma. In 1991, Stuart obtained his ministerial license and started preaching at the Hominy Pentecostal Holiness Church. In 1995, Stuart and Patricia moved to Pawnee where they continued to reside. Stuart joined Mark Brumfield and Russell Lewellyn beginning the Pawnee County Jail Ministry in 1996. In 2008, Stuart broke ground in Blackburn establishing Pawnee Christian Fellowship PHC. Stuart was ordained with the New Horizons International Pentecostal Holiness Church in 2011. Stuart continued at the Pawnee Christian Fellowship until his death.
Stuart always enjoyed working and ranching on his family farm. He also loved sharing the word of the Lord with anyone and everyone. Fridays were always special times with Patricia. They would go shopping and attend garage sales and secondhand stores. Stuart and Patricia loved going to auctions and searching for the perfect piece of silver, gold, or antique God had for them.
Survivors are his wife Patricia of the home; four children Irene, Michele Saylor, and Ross of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Dean Goodman and Lisa of Blackburn, Oklahoma, Tim Goodman and Athena of Blackburn, Oklahoma, and Josh Goodman and Bobbi of Blackburn, Oklahoma; three siblings, Sandra Kay Levins and Don of Austin, Texas, Bert Goodman and Suzie of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, and twin brother Rev. Erick Goodman and Maryann of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; eighteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Stuart was preceded in death by his siblings Mary Frances Goodman, Byron Lyle Goodman, Rev. Wendyl Lee Goodman, John Goodman, Irma Sue Dobbs, Rev. Frank Goodman, and Laverne Barber.
