Sherry McClain

In Loving Memory of Sherry Jo Page McClain

November 15, 1958 – December 1, 2024

Sherry Jo Page McClain, 66, of Hominy, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2024. Born on November 15, 1958, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the daughter of Samuel Ellsworth and Glenda Jo Page, Sherry lived a life defined by her compassion, generosity, and deep love for both people and animals.

She spent her early childhood in El Paso, Texas, before moving to Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she completed her elementary and high school education. Following her graduation, she pursued a career in cosmetology by attending school in Texas and working there for a time before returning to Oklahoma. Sherry was united in marriage to Michael Joseph “Mikie” McClain on April19, 1993, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

Sherry had a heart that knew no limits. She was always willing to lend a hand, offer a kind word, or provide a home. She cared deeply for her family, her friends, and every animal that crossed her path. She had no biological children, but she was a loving and devoted stepmother to Levi McClain, whom she cherished.

Over the years, Sherry became known for her quiet strength and willingness to give, even when she had little to give herself. She never passed by a stray animal without taking action, offering many of them a place in her home and in her heart.

Sherry is survived by her mother, Glenda Page; her siblings, TeriLarsen, Toni Fragala, and Sammy Page; and her beloved stepson, Levi McClain. Sherry was preceded in death by her father Samuel Page and husband Michael “Mikie” McClain. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, love, and an example of selfless care that will continue to inspire those who knew her.

A private memorial service will be held on June 28, 2025. Sherry will be laid to rest at Oakdale Cemetery in Agra, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home. Friends and family may visit an online guestbook and memorial page for Sherry at www.chapman-black.com.

Sherry’s loving spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched. She will be dearly missed and never forgotten.
