Sharon Kay Goad passed from this life on September 17, 2022, at the age of 72 in Cleveland, Oklahoma.
Sharon was born on May 23, 1950, in Hominy, Oklahoma, the daughter of Jack and Betty (Goodman) Goad. Sharon grew up in Osage attending school in Prue, Oklahoma. Sharon graduated from Prue High School with the Class of 1968. Following high school Sharon worked at Munsing Wear in Hominy for several years. She later accepted a position with Kentucky Fried Chicken in Cleveland for several years. Before being a caregiver for her mother and two brothers. Sharon was a four-time cancer survivor.
Sharon always enjoyed watching television especially westerns and wrestling. Sharon and her twin sister Karen would always go to El Vallarta's for Taco Tuesday. She was an avid OSU fan and always watched the games decked out in her Cowboy attire. Sharon enjoyed going to the casino when she was able. She worked tirelessly on numerous jig saw puzzles while watching the deer and humming birds outside her window.
Survivors include her two children Buffy Goad of Tulsa, Oklahoma, C.J Cochran of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, lifelong friend that she thought of as a daughter Pam Schlupe of Grand Lake, Oklahoma, two sisters Karen Starrett and husband Tom of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Dusty Ponder and husband Dewayne of Cleveland, Oklahoma, special family member Lela Pearson of Batesville, Arkansas as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Betty Goad, siblings Johnny Goad, Tommy Goad, Rita Goad and Joan Gilley.
Services will be held on 2:00 pm, Wednesday, September 28, 2022, in the Chapman-Black Funeral Home with Dusty Giles officiating services. Burial will follow in the Osage Cemetery in Osage, Oklahoma.
