Sandra Jean "Sandy" Pollard passed away on April 1, 2026, at the age of 81 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Sandy was born on March 30, 1945, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, she was the daughter of Frank Gilbert and Laveda Mae (Wallace) Birdtail. Sandy grew up in Wainwright, Oklahoma, and after completing her education, she met and married the love of her life, Earnest Pollard Sr., while living in Fort Gibson. They were married for over 52 years until his passing in 2015. Sandy and Earnest made their home in her current residence on July 9, 1983.

She is survived by her son, Earnest Pollard Jr., of the home, two sisters, Viola Williams and Wanda Torex, and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Gilbert and Laveda Birdtail, and her husband, Earnest Pollard Sr.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 8, 2026, at Terlton Cemetery, officiated by Robert Hardbuck Jr. Arrangements are under the care of Chapman-Black Funeral Home. An online guest book and memorial page for Sandy can be found at www.chapman-black.com.
