Sandra Farmer

Sandra Kay Farmer was born May 7, 1948, in Fayetteville, Arkansas to Leonard Long and Ada Ethel (Wilson) Long. She grew up with two sisters and three brothers. As a girl she loved to roller skate, fish and just have fun. She attended Bates Elementary and Fayetteville High School.

After school Kay worked for Fayetteville Hospital as a dietitian aide. She met Cloyd Farmer through a member of her family. They fell in love and married on July 18, 1964, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Kay's focus after getting married was to take care of her husband and son, Dewayne. Four years later the family moved to Tulsa and then Hominy/Osage area where she spent the rest of her life. Kay and Cloyd were married for 60 years.

Kay loved country living. Anything outdoors became an adventure for her, she loved camping, fishing and hunting. She and Cloyd spent all their time together. Kay loved dogs, chickens and all animals. Kay and her son, Dewayne enjoyed playing board games. Kay also enjoyed cooking, making candy, sewing and doing crafts. Kay was a strong-willed woman who loved her privacy. Her struggle in life was "just Cloyd." Ha Ha
