Ronnie Hagberg

Charles Ronald Hagberg, known as Ron to most of his business associates and Ronnie to his many friends and family, was born October 1, 1959, in Tulsa, and passed on November 14, 2023, in Tulsa.

Ronnie was the son of Charles and Betty (Risinger) Hagberg, longtime Cleveland residents and owner-operators of Hagberg's Ben Franklin and later Hagberg Realty.  Ronnie was the third of four siblings and the "apple of their eyes" to his parents as the only son, and to his three sisters; Marsha, Molly and Kelly Jane.  Ronnie graduated from Cleveland High School in 1977 and attended Oklahoma State University before going to work as an apprentice pipeline welder through the recommendations of journeymen Cleveland welders.  After working on projects in various parts of the country, Ronnie returned to Cleveland where he owned and operated Video Visions, a video rental and photo processing store, located next to Hagberg's Ben Franklin.

Ronnie later returned to the welding industry, joining the staff of what was then Piping Engineering in Sand Springs.  The company later became corporately owned, and he accepted a transfer to its Houston, Texas operations.  After that corporation closed its Sand Springs operations and was purchased by private ownership, Ronnie became the new firm's director of operations, a post he held for the 15 years preceding his death.  Ronnie married Jana Kay Culp, the "love of his life," an overused but perfectly fitting phrase, on June 14, 2014.  She is the daughter of Tanya (Lawrence) Wilkerson and granddaughter of Wayne and Klorene Lawrence, longtime Cleveland grocers.

For many years, Ronnie passionately loved fishing, a hobby that eventually turned to golfing and later evolved to playing the guitar.  He even built his own music room, complete with guitars on the walls, a desk for jotting down the lyrics and a recliner.  Faith, family and friends were the hallmarks of Ronnie's life.  He enjoyed spending time with his friends, and was loved by his family, but, most importantly, was devoted to his God.  He constantly witnessed to strangers, friends, and family and was seldom without the perfect scripture to fit and comfort in one's time of need.

He is survived by his wife, Jana Kay; son Brandon Mills and wife Heather and their daughter Charlize of Pryor, Oklahoma; daughter Candas Mills; son Adam Keeley and his wife Gabby and their daughter, Reagan of Springdale, Arkansas; son Austin Culp of Fayetteville, Arkansas; three sisters Marsha Wilkerson and her husband Ron of Jenks, Oklahoma and their sons Jason Wilkerson and wife Eliza of Bixby, Oklahoma and Jared Wilkerson and wife Lori of Bixby, Oklahoma; Molly Waters and her husband Bruce and their son Aaron of Fort Smith, Arkansas; Kelly Jane Nosal and her husband Mark and their daughter Sadie of Benton, Arkansas, and a host of other relatives and friends.
