Rocky Lane Farrow passed away on June 18, 2025, at the age of 58 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Rocky was born on May 22, 1967, in Tulsa, to Alvin "Duroc" Farrow and Gerry (Workman) Farrow. He grew up in Terlton and Cleveland and graduated from Prue High School with the Class of 1985. After high school, Rocky began working on a local ranch in Prue, then moved to Waco, Texas. He later returned to the Cleveland area to work for Word Industries before becoming a millwright, traveling throughout the United States.
Rocky had a great passion for team roping. In high school, he participated in team roping and won the Oklahoma State Finals in 1983. He also competed in the High School National Finals alongside D.K. Smith. After graduation, Rocky continued team roping with several friends, including Larry Craven, Brent Sissom, Bord Burn, Paul Shaver, and Randy Toothman, as well as his favorite partner, Duroc. During his time in the rodeo, he and his partners won numerous buckles and saddles.
Rocky is survived by his sister Judy Toothman of Jennings, Oklahoma; his brother Stoney Farrow and wife Kelly of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; his nephew Nathan Toothman; his niece Randa Novotny; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Duroc and Gerry Farrow.
A special thank you from the Farrow family to Samantha Howell for going above and beyond to help care for Rocky.
