Roberta Lee Goodman, of Cleveland, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to her family. She was born on September 29, 1962, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Robert Lee and Dorothy (McGonigal) McNabb.
Roberta spent much of her life in Oklahoma, having been raised in Tulsa before later making her home in Cleveland. She was a devoted homemaker who took great pride in caring for her family. On May 30, 1997, she married the love of her life, William A. Goodman, in Cleveland, Oklahoma. Together they shared many years of love, laughter, and companionship.
She was a woman of simple joys and a big heart. Roberta loved dancing, coloring, and painting in her younger years, and she carried that creative spirit throughout her life. She had a deep love for animals, especially her rabbits and dogs. Family meant everything to her, and some of her favorite memories were made during holidays and trips-especially traveling to Texas to visit friends and spending time surrounded by loved ones.
Roberta had a strong faith and identified as Christian. She lived by values she often shared, including her saying, "God don't like ugly-pretty is as pretty does." Though she could be serious at times, she always loved a good joke and brought smiles to those around her.
She is survived by her loving husband, William A. Goodman; her children, David Hobbs, Cathy Hobbs, and Crystal; and five cherished grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Shelly, and Robert.
Roberta was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Sherry.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the care staff at Cleveland Care & Rehab for their compassion and support.
Roberta will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend-someone who was truly special just by being herself. As her family lovingly said, "She was my angel."
