Robert William "Bob" Kinyon Sr., 85, of Jennings, Oklahoma, peacefully passed away on Friday, June 12, 2026.

He was born May 27, 1941, in Oxnard, California to the late Martha Winnie Kinyon and Floyd William Kinyon Sr.

Bob served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1965 as a Green Beret and Paratrooper. After his service, he poured concrete for several decades and ran his own concrete business. In 1975, he moved his family to Jennings, Oklahoma, where they built a home on 40 acres.

He married Grace Louise Wilson in August 1959, and together they had five children. He taught all five of his children a strong work ethic and the value of money.

Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Anita Kinyon; his parents; children Cheryl Ann Sharp and John P. Kinyon; son-in-law Paul Chenault; and siblings Charlotte Rogers and her husband Jerry Rogers, and Alan W. Kinyon.

He is survived by his children, Robert W. "BJKinyon Jr. and wife April; Ruth R. Meyer and husband Brian; and Holly L. Chenault. He is also survived by his first wife, Grace Louise Wilson.

He is further survived by his siblings, Floyd W. "Bill" Kinyon Jr. and wife Dorothy; Kathy Kinyon; Jack W. Ray and wife Shelvy; Florence Smail and husband George; Tammy McCullough; and Kenneth Kinyon and wife Patty.

Bob leaves behind 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

His hobbies included gardening, ham radio operations, and champion pigeon racing. He founded the Keystone Pigeon Racing Club on his land in Jennings.

A memorial will be held at his Jennings home at a later date.
