Peaches Whitton

Lberta Geneva Whitton better known to her friends and family as Peaches was born February 15, 1944 in Baxter Springs, Kansas to Luther and Grace (Garrett) Balentine.

Peaches moved to Hominy as a young child where she was raised and received her education. After high school Peaches enrolled in cosmetology school at Collinsville. After the completion of her education she started working as a hair dresser in Cushing for many years. Since 1993 Peaches has been employed for Kwikset in Bristow where she was a machine operator. Peaches collected angels and enjoyed listening to music.

She passed away January 12, 2002 at Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 57 years 10 months and 27 days. She was preceded in death by her mother and and son Stacy Wayne.

Survived by her daughter, Gina Whitton of Bristow, Oklahoma; brothers, Luther Gene Baltentine of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Jerry Balentine of Hominy, Oklahoma and Gary Balentine of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; one sister, Donna Montgomery of Drumright, Oklahoma as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives


Graveside services will be held January 16, 2002 at 2:00 PM at the Woodland Cemetery, under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc of Cleveland, Oklahoma.
