Ola Price, a resident of Jennings was born April 8, 1902 in Pawnee County, Indian Territory to William Perry and Mollie (Smith) Hunt. Ola was raised and received her education in the Jennings and Terlton area; attending the Oakdale School located between Terlton and Jennings. After she completed her education she was united in marriage to James Robert Price at Tulsa, Oklahoma on June 25, 1919. They made their home in Jennings after their marriage. Ola was the Avon representative for many years in this area. Ola made dolls, beaded rings and necklaces as well as having a doll hospital to keep her occupied in her spare time. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Jennings and the Ladies American Legion Auxiliary Unit 64 in Chandler, Oklahoma as well as active in the Oilton Senior Citizens.

She passed away February 3, 2002 at Jennings, Oklahoma at the age of 99 years 9 months and 25 days. Ola was preceded in death by her parents, husband James, two sons J.D. and James Jr.; two daughters Virginia Pettit and Shirley Peterson, three brothers Elmer, Frank and Forrest and six sisters Ocie Freeman, Dollie Stroud, Dora Cleveland, Rosie Nance, Ruth Houston and Laura Roberts, four granddaughters Regina Thorpe, B.B. Thorpe, Gina Brown and Debbie Price four grandsons Bobby Peterson, Jimmy Dale Price, Jerald DeWayne Price and Terry Lacy.

Survived by her two Sons, J.C. and wife Toni Price of Jennings, Oklahoma; Leon and wife Verna Price of Yale, Oklahoma; five daughters, Elsie Thorpe of Bloomington, California, Audrey Thornhill of Jennings, Oklahoma, Evelyn Hight of Drumright, Oklahoma, Eva and husband William Seward of Jennings, Oklahoma, Donnetta and husband Dean Hockaday of Oilton, Oklahoma; 36 Grandchildren, 51 Great Grandchildren, 34 Great Great Grandchildren, two Great Great Great Grandsons as well as an special adopted daughter Ada Clouser of Yale, Oklahoma and many other relatives.

Services will be held Friday February 8, 2002 at 2:00 pm in the Chapman-Black Chapel with a private burial held under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc.
