Lois Dobbins

Lois June Dobbins, 77, lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away peacefully into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on Friday, March 1, 2024.

Lois, the daughter of Jack Wilber and Opal Juanita (Adams) Lemmons was born on July 6, 1946, in Hominy Oklahoma. Lois was raised in the Boston Pool area. She graduated from Cleveland High School with the class of 1964. Lois was united in marriage to Allen Dean Dobbins in 1966. To that union, two children were born, Luana June and Kevin Dean Dobbins. The family continued living in the Boston Pool area. They later moved to Lois' dream home in Hominy.

Lois worked for several years at the Munsingwear Plant in Hominy Oklahoma. She later decided to get her Real Estate and Insurance License and become a bail Bondsman. She was very successful in her endeavors. Her love for cooking and helping others led her to a career at Dick Conner Correctional Center where she worked in the kitchen as a Food Services Supervisor. Never one for just sitting around. She joined her kids in the Concession Trailer Business. She loved getting events for the family to do. They set up at fairs, rodeos, car shows, pow-wows, and carnivals. She would also do concessions and sno-cones at auctions, church events and parades. Lois loved to cook and serve others. For a few years, she prepared a monthly meal for the IEC Board of Directors and Employees. She enjoyed serving and helping at all funerals and dinners at the Assembly of God Church.  She worked for the Cleveland Senior Citizens and Meals on Wheels as a food Handler, with her sister Brenda. She enjoyed her family getting together for lunch after Church every Sunday. She loved family reunions and all holiday get-togethers. She loved her grandkids. It was no secret that Derek, her first born grandchild, was the apple of her eye. He was lovingly referred to as her "late in life" child and the favorite. Derek took care of her until her death. Lois was always kind, positive, never held a grudge or unforgiveness towards anyone. She loved people, but she also loved serving God.
