Linda Hall

Linda Hall

Linda Irene Hall passed from this life on November 26, 2023, at the age of 83, in Cleveland, Oklahoma.

Linda was born on June 2, 1940, in Cleveland, Oklahoma, the daughter of E.J. and Viola Ruby "Dutch" (Heirford) Keeling. Linda grew up and started school in Cleveland, where she made many lifelong friends. Linda later attended the 7th and 8th grades in Seminole, Oklahoma, before starting her first year in Cleveland. Linda graduated high school from Cleveland with the Class of 1959. While in high school, Thelma Bartlett had a significant impact on Linda. She put her in a school play, and that experience broke her out of her shy personality. Following that time, English and speech were her favorite classes. On August 31, 1963, Linda was united in marriage to Harold "Pete" Hall in Cleveland, Oklahoma. They initially resided in Sand Springs briefly before returning to Cleveland in the late 1960's. Linda worked for Palace Drug during her time in high school. Following high school, she worked for her uncle in Oklahoma City during the summers at Southwestern Insurance; when they returned to Cleveland, Linda accepted employment at Indian Electric. Linda began working at Westside Elementary, retiring from Cleveland Public Schools after over 26 years in 2002. While working as the school secretary, she loved the children, teachers and administration.

Linda always loved the times with her family. She was very protective of her grandchildren and was very excited about being a grandmother again at the age of 73. While Linda was growing up, she loved dancing, going to the movies, listening to the radio, and roller skating. Some of Linda's favorite memories were taking several cruises, taking her grandchildren on trips, and spending time in Branson, Missouri. The most fun Linda ever had was usually with Pete or anything she did with Carol Moore. Linda was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Cleveland, where she served as Sunday School Secretary for many years.

Survivors are her two children; Whitney Rusher and her husband Scott of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Rance Hall and his wife Deb of Kearney, Nebraska; seven grandchildren, Collin Rusher and his wife Kerri of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; Logan Kinard and her husband Hunter of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Courtney Hall of Bethany, Oklahoma, Ashton Middlebrook and her husband Jacob of Hominy, Oklahoma, Marissah Stoner of Kearney, Nebraska, Brayden Stoner of Kearney, Nebraska, Jaxson Rusher of Cleveland, Oklahoma; three great-grandchildren, Maryn, Dean, Carter and a host of other relatives and friends. Linda was preceded in death by her father, E.J. Goodman, mother Viola Keeling, stepfather Jack Keeling, and husband Pete Hall.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, December 1, 2023, at the First Baptist Church, with Pastor Gary Davis and Pam Davis officiating. A burial will follow in the Woodland Cemetery at Cleveland, Oklahoma. Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.
