Funeral services for Lila Louise Thomas will be held Tuesday, May 17, 2005 at 2:00 pm in the Sanctuary of the First Baptist Church in Oilton, Oklahoma with Rev. Larry Calvert officiating will immediately follow next to her husband Billy at the Jennings Cemetery in Jennings, Oklahoma under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc in Cleveland, Oklahoma.

Lila L. Thomas was born October 1, 1947 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Jack and Lillie (Henderson) Livingston. Lila was raised and received her education in Tulsa, Oklahoma attending school at Thomas Edison. After her education Lila was united in marriage to William Lisle Thomas in Tulsa, Oklahoma on May 29, 1963 at the Church of Christ. Lila and Billy made their home first home in Tulsa until 1978. At that time Lila and Billy moved to Jennings. Lila made her home in Jennings until 1998. After the death of her husband Billy in 1998 Lila moved to Oilton where she has made her home since.

Lila was very active and a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Jennings until she moved to Oilton. At that time she began attending the First Baptist Church in Oilton. Lila took much pride in her family loving to play cards but mostly Canasta. She also spent numerous Friday nights at her sisterís home. Lila was active with her children and grandchildren attending baseball games as well a one of the coaches. She also loved traveling which usually was going to see her family and children in Colorado, Texas as well as Georgia. She also had a memorable trip to watch the University of Oklahoma play football game. One of Lilaís most unforgettable moments in her life was the reunion with her brother Jimmy Bennett after 56 years. Lila was also an active part in ìGrief Shareî a program sponsored Chapman-Black Funeral Home after the death of her husband Billy.

Lila went to be with her Lord and Saviour Saturday May 14, 2005 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 57 years 7 months and 13 days. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Billy on March 17, 1998, one brother Junior Livingston in 1984 as well as a grandson Danny Lee Lisle Thomas in October of 1998.

Survived by her daughter Penny and husband Steve Pyeatt of Oilton, Oklahoma; three sons William Jr. and wife Catherine Thomas of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Danny and wife Becky Thomas of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; John and wife Nikki Thomas of Hominy, Oklahoma; three brothers Leonard Paul Livingston of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Charles Robert Livingston of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Jimmy Gayle Bennett of Collinsville, Oklahoma; three sisters Nancy Sue Livingston of Muskogee, Oklahoma; Barbara Lynn Black of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Darla Marie Cook of Tulsa, Oklahoma; twenty and one half grandchildren, mother-in-law Kathryn Thomas of Tulsa, Oklahoma and numerous other relatives and friends.
