Lawrence Martin, II

Lawrence A. Martin, Il passed away, January 3, 2026, at the age of 76 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Lawrence was born on March 27, 1949, to Maude Hudson and Lawrence A. Martin in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He moved to Cleveland with his family at an early age and he received his public education in Cleveland Schools, graduating in 1967. He attended Rogers State University, NSU and OSU and received his Juris Doctorate Degree from T.U. Law School. After returning to Cleveland, he opened a private law practice where he worked diligently to represent underprivileged children and the general public. Later he was employed by the Pawnee County District Attorney where he served his community to the After leaving the District Attorney's Office, he opened a private law office in Cleveland where he represented many clients and held offices as the City Judge for Cleveland and for Mannford as well.

Lawrence was a Man's man - Not afraid of physical labor, he relished it, in moderation. He was fond of vehicles, the faster the better. Lawrence loved the ladies from two years old to their eighties. Always charming, he had a certain Southern familiar attitude that endeared him to almost everyone he met. Lawrence's true passion was his farm and working with horses.

He is survived by his wife, Diana L. Martin of the home. Daughter, Stephanie Reed and husband Cody of Indiana, Son Lawrence Aaron Martin of Cleveland, OK, Noah Phillips of Cleveland, Oklahoma and grandchildren, Marley Downey, Finn Reed and Kate Reed, and Sister Doris Rainey of Michigan. He will be missed by many friends and clients. In addition to his parents Lawrence was preceded in death by a son Ryan Phillips.

By Lawrence's request there will be no formal services planned. Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
