Obituary

Laura Jane Stich passed peacefully from this life on July 6, 2026, at the age of 83.

Laura was born on January 6, 1943. She graduated from Central high school in Tulsa, Oklahoma, with the Class of 1960 and continued her education at Tulsa Community College, where she earned her Associate Degree.

Laura lived a life centered on kindness, generosity, and service to others. She devoted countless hours volunteering to teach adults how to read, believing that education could change lives. She was an active member of Toastmasters International and enjoyed coaching softball, encouraging and inspiring those around her. Her giving spirit was also reflected in the many gallons of blood she donated throughout her lifetime, always looking for ways to help others in need.

In her free time, Laura found great joy in creating beautiful, intricate stockings by hand for family and friends, gifts that will be treasured for years to come. She loved watching Jeopardy! and dancing competitions and was an enthusiastic fan of Elvis Presley. One of her favorite memories was having the opportunity to see Elvis perform in concert.

Above all, Laura loved her family and cherished every opportunity to spend time with those she loved. She will be remembered for her compassionate heart, generous spirit, and the lasting impact she made on the lives of so many.

Laura is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Staszkow and her husband, Mark Staszkow, and Rosalee Stich; her grandchildren Tiffany Hash, Angela Saelee, Tia Staszkow, Emily Teague, and Jeremiah Collins, Joshua Arehart and Matthew Stazskow; her great grandchildren Peyton Saelee, Carli Saelee, Lawrence Hash IV, Benjamin Hash, and Alexander Hash. As well as many extended family members and friends who will deeply miss her.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Elisa Gayle DeWitt; her parents; two sisters; and one brother.

Laura's legacy of compassion, service, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
