Obituary

Jacquie Charlene Reed passed peacefully from this life on July 9, 2026, in Mannford, Oklahoma, at the age of 89.

Jacquie was born on June 1, 1937, in Cleveland, Oklahoma, to Everett Earl Almy and Margaruite Mae (Comer) Almy. She spent her childhood in the Keystone and Cleveland communities and graduated with the Cleveland High School Class of 1955.

On December 24, 1954, Jacquie married the love of her life, Silas Hershell Reed. Together they began their married life in Keystone and were blessed with four sons: Danny, Doug, Deak, and Dave. In 1956, the family moved to the Berryhill community before later returning to the Dixie area near Cleveland. They eventually settled once again in the Keystone area near Hubbard and Bowen. In 1962, Jacquie and Silas built their family home in Mannford, Oklahoma, where she remained for the rest of her life, creating a home filled with love, faith, and treasured memories.

Jacquie found joy in the simple blessings of life. She loved cooking delicious meals for her family, tending to her yard, taking peaceful walks, and keeping a neat and welcoming home. Her kitchen was a place of comfort, where she became especially known for making the best homemade pancakes and fresh rolls. She also loved camping and cherished every opportunity to gather with her children, grandchildren, and extended family.

Her faith was the foundation of her life. Jacquie faithfully read her Bible each day and spent time in daily prayer, drawing strength and peace from her relationship with the Lord. She lived her faith through her actions, offering kindness, compassion, and encouragement to those around her.

Jacquie will be remembered as a caring, loving, and gentle woman whose unwavering devotion to her family and faith left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. Her warm heart, generous spirit, and steadfast love will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all whose lives she touched.

Survivors include her three children, Danny Reed, Doug Reed and wife Kathy and Dave Reed, two siblings Glenn Almy and wife Sue, Ronnie Almy and wife Evelyn, six grandchildren Doug, David, D.J., Chanyng, Jin Ahn, Ryan, numerous great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Jacquie was preceded in death by her parents, husband Silas, son Deak and one brother Larry Almy.
