Granville "Pat" Wilcox passed from this life on May 7, 2026, at the age of 79 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Pat was born on April 4, 1947, in Hominy, Oklahoma the son of Floyd E. and Mary Edith (Linville) Wilcox. Pat grew up and attended school in Hominy, Oklahoma graduating with the Class of 1965. Following high school Pat worked in Sand Springs at C.E. Natco for several years. Pat also served in the Oklahoma National Guard, 45th Infantry. He was honorably discharged on June 15th, 1972. Then later started living on and managing the Henry Ranch in Osage, Oklahoma and started working at the Cleveland Fire Department. He worked as dispatcher and fireman before being promoted to Fire Chief and retiring on June 1st, 1995. During his time working as a fireman Pat also worked at Bob’s Automotive as a mechanic.

Pat Wilcox was a man who truly enjoyed life and the simple pleasures it offered. He loved spending time fishing and hunting, and discovered a passion for woodworking. Pat became very talented in lathe work, creating beautiful decorative bowls and vases, while also building furniture ranging from cabinets to beds. He enjoyed the freedom of the open road while riding his Honda Goldwing motorcycle and could often be found playing pool with friends and family. Pat had a gift for fixing just about anything and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those around him. He also enjoyed purchasing tractors, lawn mowers, and four-wheelers that were not running, repairing them, and selling them. Above all, Pat will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his generous heart, and the countless ways he used his talents to help others.

Survivors are his two children Kimberly Leach, Debra Wood, two siblings Mildred Cotton, Frances Butcher; grandchildren Dylan Leach, Kristen Chmidling, Gregory Adams, Aaron Adams, great grandchildren Maverick, Jack, Aiden, and a host of other relatives and friends. Pat was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Wanda Gay Wilcox, Floyd Eugene Wilcox and Margie Barksdale.

Services will be held 2:00 pm, Monday, May 18, 2026 at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home with Dusty Giles officiating. Burial will follow in the A J Powell Memorial Cemetery at Hominy, Oklahoma.
