Grace Olive Travis, formerly of Jennings was born June 24, 1907 in Dover, Oklahoma to Martin and Bessie May Williams. Grace was raised and received her education in rural area of Dover, Oklahoma. On February 4, 1925 she was united in marriage to Fred Travis, Jr. in Kingfisher County, Oklahoma. After their marriage they remained in Kingfisher County. In 1939 Grace and Fred moved to Inola then later in 1949 they made their home at Jennings, Oklahoma. Grace and Fred moved to Tulsa in 1974 where she has remained since. Grace loved to play dominoes and cards in her spare time. Grace was also very fond of all of her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Fred, son Glen B.Travis, brother Miles Williams, two grandsons Randy Chapman, Dale Travis and a granddaughter Paula Chapman.

She passed away December 9, 2001 at Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 94 years 5 months and 15 days.

Survived by her son, Junior Martin Travis, Jennings, Oklahoma; son Clyde Travis, Tulsa, Oklahoma; daughter Norma Ganner, Tulsa, Oklahoma; daughter Dorthy Chapman, Tulsa, Oklahoma; sister, Minnie Johnston, Kansas City, Kansas; sister in law, Alma Williams, Cresent, Oklahoma; 11 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren, 9 Great Great Grandchildren as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be held December 11, 2001 at 10:00 AM in the Chapman-Black Chapel, officiated by Pastor Mike Reed. Burial will be at Jennings Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc.
