Gladys Marie Cunningham, 74, passed from this life on May 11, 2026, at her home surrounded by family in Cleveland, Oklahoma.

Gladys was born on November 6, 1951, in Hominy the daughter of Auzzie and Alma (Clapper) Cupp. Gladys grew up and attended school in Hominy, Oklahoma, and graduated from Hominy High School with the Class of 1970. On October 31, 1970, Gladys was united in marriage to Clifford Shelby Cunningham at the Keystone General Baptist Church. The couple established their home, where she currently lives. Gladys worked at Tank and Tummy for over 30 years before she left in December of 2025.

Gladys found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved watching Hallmark movies, dining at Olive Garden, and treating herself to pedicures. Purple was her favorite color, and Christmas and Thanksgiving were especially dear to her heart, as she loved preparing large family meals and making her famous sausage rolls on Christmas morning and her beloved Hello Dolly dessert. Above all, Gladys treasured her family and adored being "GG" to Silas.

Survivors are two children, Clifford Shelby Cunningham Jr. of Cleveland, Oklahoma, John Todd Cunningham of Tulsa, Oklahoma, grandson Michael Cunningham, and a host of other relatives and friends who will mourn her passing. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, husband Cliff Cunningham, three siblings Clarence "Jocko" Cupp, James Cupp, Ruth Searle, and a granddaughter Mckaylah Cunningham.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home Chapel, with Justin White officiating. Private burial will follow in the Sinnett Cemetery.
