Geraldine Daniels

Mrs. Geraldine (Jean) Frances Daniels was born on February 1, 1928, to Zack and Birdie (English) Crawford in Hominy, Oklahoma. Along with her siblings, she was raised and attended school in Hominy, graduating from Carver High School.

After graduation, Jean met Willie Charles Daniels, and the two were married on July 27, 1947 in Cleveland, Oklahoma, and to this union their four children were born.

Jean accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age.

A loving, devoted woman of faith, she touched many lives by exhibiting an unwavering love for the Lord, regularly attending church, and making a conscious effort to always get along with others. Her motto in life was to be the best version of herself she could be and to not try to be like others.

To provide for her family, Jean worked for many years at the nursing home and hospital in Hominy. She was very passionate about education, and later worked at Hominy Head-Start, retiring as director of the program, which was named in her honor. When she was not working, she could be found cooking meals for and taking care of her family, hand-sewing embroidery pieces, working on word search puzzles, teaching classes at church, or fishing with her husband.

Jean was called home to her Savior  on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at the age of 95 years.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, nine of her siblings, and the love of her life, husband of 67 years, Willie. She leaves to celebrate her life, sister Margaret Quinn of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; daughters

Margaret Reeves (James) of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Marsha Ladd-Guthrie (Joseph) of Hampton, Georgia; sons Danny Daniels (Bubbles) of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Willie Charles Daniels, Jr. of Tulsa, Oklahoma. She also leaves 10 loving grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
