David Lynn Wilcox

David Lynn Wilcox passed from this life on July 7, 2022, at the age of 70 in Catoosa, Oklahoma.

David was born on September 6, 1951, at Hominy, Oklahoma, the son of Clay E. and Ethel Elsie (Fiddler) Wilcox. David grew up and attended school in Hominy, graduating with the Class of 1969. Following high school, he joined the Oklahoma National Guard, serving three years. David initially worked at Leggett and Platt; later, moving to Tulsa, David began working with CRC Evans. David later formed Wilcox Sales selling pipeline and oil field equipment.

David enjoyed playing poker and going to horse races. He has traveled throughout the United States and overseas, selling equipment to various companies.

Survivors are his two children, Jackie Wilcox and Chase Wilcox, five siblings, Lahoma Jackson, June Keeling, Jerra Lucas, Wallace Wilcox, Wayne Wilcox, two grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. David was preceded in death by his parents, Clay and Ethel Wilcox.

At 11:00 am, Tuesday, July 12, 2022, services will be held at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home Chapel, with Steve Clemishire officiating services. A private burial will be held in the A.J. Powell Memorial Cemetery at Hominy, Oklahoma. Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements.
