     Cynthia Jane Boone, age 72, of Pawhuska, passed from this life on Friday evening, February 16, 2024, at Ascension St. John Medical Center, Tulsa.  Cynthia was born April 29, 1951 in Los Angeles, California to Bill and Naomi (Wolfe) Myers.  She was raised and received her education in both Wynona and Pawhuska, graduating from Pawhuska High School.  On May 31, 1969, Cynthia and Tom Joe Boone were united in marriage at Pawnee, OK.  To this union, two sons were born.  After their marriage, they lived in Tulsa before returning to Pawhuska, and later moving to the family farm south of Pawhuska.  Cynthia retired as a Contract Health Specialist, working for the Federal government.  She also served three terms as a councilwoman for the Osage Tribe, mineral council.  She loved to cook, plant gardens and trail riding with her horse. 

     Those that survive and hold many cherished memories are her husband – Tom; sons – Tom, Jr and Daniel, both of Pawhuska; a granddaughter Rachel Marie Boone; one brother Richard Myers of Carlsbad, CA and a sister Leslie Myers of Tulsa.  She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.

     There will be visitation for family and friends Sunday evening and Monday at the Wakon Iron Chapel in Pawhuska.  Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 20th in the sanctuary of the First Baptist Church in Pawhuska with private family burial following on the Boone Family farm.  A Traditional Indian Feast will follow back at Wakon Iron Hall, Pawhuska at noon.
