Christopher Carter

Christopher Carter

Christopher Carter, a beloved father, son, brother, and friend, has left an irreplaceable void in the hearts of those who knew him. Born on November 20, 1982, in Pawnee, Oklahoma, Chris tragically passed away on May 6, 2024, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

In his early years, Chris embarked on a journey of education that began in Cleveland and culminated with his graduation with the Class of 2001. Throughout his formative years, he displayed a passion for sports, particularly excelling in basketball. His dedication and competitive spirit shined brightly in every game he played.

Professionally, Chris began a job of electrical work with enthusiasm and determination. Starting as an apprentice at Aspen Electric, he steadily became a skilled journeyman. His quest for knowledge led him to work towards obtaining his electrician license while being employed at Colburn Electric. Not content with conventional employment, Chris ventured into entrepreneurship and found success as a self-employed electrician.

While his career was significant, Chris's greatest source of pride stemmed from being a devoted father. Renowned for being "the best dad ever," he poured his love and wisdom into shaping the lives of his children. He leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love and unwavering support that will continue to guide his children Dane Carter of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Shane Carter of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Peyton Trout of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Allie Hudson of Tulsa - as they navigate life's journey without his physical presence.

Chris's warm personality endeared him to all who crossed his path. Known for his loving nature, caring demeanor, witty humor laced with sarcasm, and an immense heart filled with compassion, he brought joy and laughter wherever he went. His fondness for fishing, hunting expeditions with friends - where hanging out with his boys held special significance - and watching MMA fights underlined by cheering Dane on with Shane at his football games created cherished memories that will forever be cherished by all who shared those moments with him.

In this time of mourning, we find solace in celebrating Christopher Carter's remarkable life and his profound impact on those around him survivors include the mother of his children Shauna Gossett of Tulsa, Oklahoma; father Alan Carter; sister Tiffany Carter; nephews Keagan Carter and his girlfriend Jessa Ready, Kylen Thoma; niece Kamdyn Harrold; great-nephews Myles Carter and Kaine Carter;  along with numerous other relatives and friends whose lives were touched by his kindness and jovial spirit.  Chris was preceded in death by his mother Vicky Carter grand parents Alvie and Opal Carter, John and Virginia Schroeder.

A viewing to pay respects to Christopher Carter will be held on May 14th starting at 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM at Chapman-Black Funeral Home located at 108 West Delaware in Cleveland, Oklahoma. The Funeral Service honoring his life will take place the following day on May 15th at Western Heights Baptist Church situated at 200 North Gilbert in Cleveland at 2:00 PM extending until 3:00 PM.

Christopher's departure leaves us with memories that will forever brighten our days and lessons that will guide our paths ahead. As we bid farewell to an extraordinary individual whose light will continue to shine brightly through the lives he touched profoundly - may we honor his legacy by embodying the love and warmth he so effortlessly shared with all.
