Charles Grant Silkey passed from this life on November 1, 2025, at the age of 66 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Charles was born on December 22, 1958, in Tulsa. He was the son of Leonard Ray and Juanita Joyce (Harris) Silkey. Charles grew up and attended school in Sand Springs and Mannford, where he graduated from high school. Following his education, Charles joined the United States Marine Corps Reserve. Following his initial basic training, he returned to Tulsa, where he served with the 6th Motor Transport Battalion. Charles began working at Energy Exchanger Company in 1983. He worked as an assembler for many years, retiring in March of 2024. On May 27, 2013, he was united in marriage to Melissa Brink in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Charles always enjoyed fishing and going to work. Charles always enjoyed watching OU football and spending time with his grandson, Theo, whom he called his "Little Partner."
Survivors are his wife, Melissa, of the home, two daughters, Crystal Alvey, Alisha Hammer, Sabrina Diaz, siblings Naomi Driskel, Leonard Silkey, Tim Silkey, Gary Silkey, Mary Warren, Jennie Aoucher, three grandsons, Elijah, Benjamin, Theodore, and a host of other relatives and friends. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Juanita Silkey, and one sister, Anita Silkey.
