Bobby Dwayne Troutman, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2017, at his home in Prue, Oklahoma at the age of 69 years.
Bobby was born December 31, 1947, in Stilwell, Oklahoma. He was the son of James Franklin and Opal Velta (Lawless) Troutman. As a young child, Bobby moved with his family to the Wildhorse area. During that time, Bobby started school in Wildhorse and later graduated from Prue High School. Following graduation Bobby began working in Sand Springs at a local steel fabrication plant. On June 20, 1970, Bobby was united in marriage to Peggy Ann Whorton. They later moved to Prue, Oklahoma and eventually built their current home in 1978. Bobby continued working in the Tulsa area until he retired in 2015.
Bobby loved raising cattle and horses. He loved spending time at the cabin as well; that he and his son Tracy built. He enjoyed going to family reunions talking and spending time with his family that he loved dearly. Taking his grandkids fishing was something Bobby always looked forward to doing. Being outside was what he loved most and always had a project going at all times.
Survivors are wife Peggy of the home; son Tracy Troutman and his wife Tiffany of Prue, Oklahoma; one brother Kenneth Troutman of Enid, Oklahoma; five sisters Diane Padgett of Hominy, Oklahoma, Janis Troutman of Stilwell, Oklahoma, Dee Hubbard of Collinsville, Oklahoma, Glenda Peal and her husband Charles of Mannford, Oklahoma, Darinda Clements of Cleveland, Oklahoma; six grandchildren Eric, Clay, C.J. and Gracie Troutman, Emily Beverly and her husband Ricky and Ashlyn Paul and a host of other relatives and friends that will mourn his passing. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers Finley, Henry and George Troutman; two sisters Sue Jones and Ruth Murdock.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 AM Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Prue, Oklahoma with Rev. Garry McDevitt officiating. Burial will follow in the Prairie View Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home. Friends may share a memory with the family online at www.chapman-black.com
