Barbara Sue Murphy Crosson

At the age of 70, Barbara Sue Murphy Crosson went home to be with the Lord on June 24, 2019.

Known to her family and friends as Sue or Susie, she was born in Hominy, Oklahoma to Donald Murphy and Betty (Crider) Murphy. Following the death of her father Donald, Sue was raised by her mother and step-father, Don Crosson.

Sue lived in many different places with her family before they finally settled in Okemah where she played high school basketball and graduated in 1966. She married and became the mother to two daughters, Kim and Kristi. After working at General Motors in Oklahoma City for 20+ years she retired in the late 90s.
Sue enjoyed attending both of her daughters’ band performances, athletic events and school plays. She even coached their little league softball and basketball teams. When Sue was blessed with grandchildren, you could always find her at their athletic events, school programs and band performances. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy.
You could often catch Sue doing a crossword or jigsaw puzzle. She loved watching game shows and TV crime series. She was an animal lover and could never turn down the opportunity to rescue a stray kitten on the side of the road.

Barbara Sue Murphy Crosson is preceded in death by her father, mother, step-father, brother Lee Crosson, step-brother Richard Crosson, niece Tina Crosson, and nephews David Walkup, Jr. and Richard Lee Crosson.
