Archie Todd Norton, 63, passed away peacefully at his home in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Saturday July 12, 2025. Todd was born December 9, 1961, in Hominy, OK to Riley and Lola Norton. He was raised in Cleveland, OK where he graduated from Cleveland High School in 1980. A proud Cleveland Tiger, Todd played football and formed lifelong friendships rooted in his small-town upbringing.
Todd dedicated over 30 years of hard work and service to UPS, where he held roles in management, as a driver and as a trainer. He was known for his commitment and reliability - working long hours, often in difficult weather, always with the goal of providing for his family. A true cowboy at heart, Todd had a deep love for western traditions and horses. He attended the Cavalcade Rodeo in Pawhuska since childhood and later competed in team roping and wild cow milking and yes even the Wild Horse Race. His favorite Cavalcade memories were watching his sons participate, surrounded by the laughter and warmth of family and friends at the Norton camp.
Todd also loved the golf game, golf brought him joy, camaraderie and plenty of all-in-fun competition, especially with his cousins in the Upshaw Invitational and the Branch Best Ball golf tournaments. Todd found great joy in supporting his sons' sports endeavors - never missing a football or baseball game, and always the loudest, loyal fan in the stands. He was also an avid supporter of the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Todd was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Cleveland, where he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior.
Todd is survived by his son Riley David Norton and wife Kendall of McKinney, TX and his cherished granddaughters - Scout Lynn and Stevie Grace Norton. He is also survived by his brother Toby Norton and wife Renee of Denton, TX, an Aunt Carol Upshaw of Jenks, OK and many loving cousins. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents Riley and Lola Norton and his son Brock Norton.
Memorial services for Todd will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, July 19, 2025, in the sanctuary of the Western Heights Baptist Church, Cleveland with Pastor David Head officiating.
In lieu of flowers, please consider supporting the World Baseball Outreach of Tulsa, a ministry where his son Brock's legacy lives on and one that Todd proudly supported.
Cremation and services have been entrusted to the Chapman-Black Funeral Home of Cleveland. www.chapman-black.com
