Amanda Marie Brooks, 38, passed from this life on Friday, November 16, 2018, following an extended illness.
Amanda was born October 6, 1980, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Christopher Lynn and Kathleen (Skyles) Toedt. Amanda was raised in Tulsa beginning her education at Lanier Elementary. Amanda completed her education at Amazing Grace graduating with the Class of 1998. Following graduation, Amanda was united in marriage on September 7, 1999, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The couple resided in Tulsa until 2005. At that time Amanda and Mike moved to Cleveland where they have continued to live.
Amanda was a very loving and caring person. She spent many hours on social media helping others through a network of entities. Assisting others on support groups, tending to their online chat support groups and monitoring their web support pages. Amanda was a great encourager and always trying to make others feel their best about themselves. Amanda was very crafty and was very blessed with her abilities to decorate. She also took after her grandmother and was an excellent cook. Amanda and Mike were members at the Westport Baptist Church.
Survivors are her husband Mike of the home; one son James Caedmon of the home, parents Kathy Toedt of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Chris Toedt of Collinsville, Oklahoma, paternal grandparents Dale and JoAnn Toedt; one sister Heather Michelle Toedt-Lasseigne of Tulsa, Oklahoma as well as numerous other relatives and friends that will mourn her passing. Amanda was preceded in death by an infant child Aaron as well as her maternal grandparents Floyd Lee and Margery Jeanette Skyles.
Pallbearers will include Matt Parks, Austin Goodeau, Keith Buntin, Aaron Stewart, Bubba Braden, and Derrick Mcinturf.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday at the Westport Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Earley officiating. Following the services burial will be held in the Dixie Bear Creek Cemetery in Cleveland. Chapman-Black Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.
