Zell C. Carmical

Zelma Cavella ''Zell'' Carmichal was born October 12, 1912 in Drumright, Oklahoma. She was raised and attended school in Drumright, graduating from Drumright High School in 1930.

Shortly after graduation from high school , Zell was married to Robert Wheat. The couple made their initial home in Drumright and then moved to Texas for several years. They had two daughters, Bobbye and Dolores. Upon returning to Oklahoma, the couple purchased a home in Tulsa. Zell was employed for many years as a salesperson in woman's clothing working at numerous retail stores in Tulsa including Syna Leah Clothing. Robert preceded her in death in 1968 after thirty years of marriage.

Zell was later married to Robert Carmical. The couple made their initial home in Tulsa and then later moved to some property west of Cleveland. Robert and Zell continued to live in Cleveland until for health reason, Zell was required to moved to an assisted living facility. Robert preceded her in death a couple of years ago. Zell passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2003 at the age of ninety years, three months and twenty-four days. In addition to her husbands, Zell was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Bobbye D. Schuler; two brothers, Howard and Artie Howell; and a sisters, Estelle Moore.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, February 10, 2003 at the Chapel of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home with Rev. George Boston officiating. Burial will be at the Woodland Cemetery under the direction of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
