Yvonda Jewel Fitzsimmons

Yvonda Jewel Fitzsimmons was born May 17, 1953 in Blythe, California. She was the daughter of Kenneth T. and Lydia (Kuyendall) Fitzsimmons. Yvonda moved with her family at an early age to Enid, Oklahoma where she attended school, graduating from Enid High School in 1971.

Yvonda devoted her life providing a home for her children. She was tragically injured in an automobile/pedestrian accident in February 1997 and was brought back to Oklahoma to live with her parents in February 1999.

Yvonda was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Enid, Oklahoma. Prior to her accident, she was an avid bicyclist. She passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2001 at the Cleveland Area Hospital at the age of forty-eight years, four months and twenty-three days. She was preceded in death by her mother.

She is survived by her parents, Kenneth and Naomi Fitzsimmons of Cleveland, Oklahoma; two sons, Damon and Nathan Weber, both of Enid, Oklahoma; brother, Kenneth Fitzsimmons, Jr., and a sister, Letha Wallace of Enid, Oklahoma.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, October 13, 2001 at the Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel in Enid, Oklahoma with Sam Ramer officiating. Burial will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home in Cleveland, Oklahoma.
