Wilma Lillie Gray

Wilma Lillie Gray was born on September 5, 1920 in Keystone, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Amyle Arnold and Nellie Blanch (Booth) Peterman. Wilma was raised and received her education in the Westport area attending the Rigsby School. In the eight grade she began attending school in Cleveland where she completed her education. Wilma married the love of her life Ancil Gray on March 14, 1940 in Skedee, Oklahoma. To this union were born two children Virginia Ann and Ancil David. Wilma was an active member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovahís Witnesses and served in the field ministy for many years. Wilma was also very family oriented person and loved working outside. Wilma also spent many hours on her swing with her daughter Virginia. Mondayís were special to Wilma, she would always prepare dinner for her family at 5:00 pm and you had better not be late. October 1, 1972 was a special day for Wilma; the day she was baptized into the faith of the Jehovahís Witnesses. Wilma passed away on Friday, July 6, 2012 at the Saint Francis Hosptial in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 91 years. Survivors are her son David Gray and his wife Becky of South Houston, Texas; one brother, Edwin Peterman of Cleveland, Oklahoma; four sisters, Elnora Dawson of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Lela Davis of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Frankie Wallace of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Armina Scott of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, son in law Vince Garcia of Cleveland, Okahoma; five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents Wilma was preceded in death by her husand, Ancil Telmage Gray; one daughter Virginia Ann Garcia, two brothers, Amyle Peterman, Tommy Peterman; two sisters Arnleine Peterman and Juanita Peterman Collins. Funeral services will be held 10:00 am, Thursday July12, 2012 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Cleveland, Okahoma with Marcus Perryman officiating. Burial will follow in the Sinnett Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
