Wilma Janette Finney was born February 19, 1945 in Sand Springs, Oklahoma the daughter of Wilburn K. and Carmen E. (Cherry) Finney. As a young girl Janette attended schools in Sapulpa and Sand Springs. She completed her education at Charles Page High School in Sand Springs. After high school Janette remained in Sand Springs and later moved to Hallett in the 1970ís. In 2004, Janette moved to Cleveland. Janette worked at the Cleveland Cleaners for many years until the closure of the operation. Janette enjoyed the time she spent with her family. Christmas time was special to her as well as her families birthdays. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life. Janette enjoyed crafts, playing cards, going to garage sales and watching her hummingbirds. She was helpful to other and was always ready to pray for anyone at anytime or place. She had a strong commitment to God and her spirital belief. Janette passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2008 at her home in Cleveland at the age of 63. She was preceded in death by her parents Wilburn K and Carmen E. Finney as well as one brother David Finney. Survivors are her three children James R. Crowder, Jr. and his wife Debbie; Steve Crowder and his wife Ginny; Michelle Lehnus and her husband Zach all of Cleveland, Oklahoma, three brothers James E. Finney of Jennings, Oklahoma, Jerry L. Finney of Pawnee, Oklahoma and his daughter Patty Finney, Thomas Ray Finney of Jennings, Oklahoma; two sisters Emma Sanderson of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Sharon Ware of Pawnee, Oklahoma, six grandchildren Natasha, Ashly, James, Jennifer, Bradley, Mackenzie as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held 2:00 pm Monday, December 29, 2008 at the Bethany Cemetery with Pastor Dan Edens officiating. Interment in the Bethany Cemetery in Hallett, Oklahoma is under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
