Funeral services for Virginia Louise Bordenkircher, of Tulsa, Oklahoma will be Monday, 2:00 pm in the Chapman-Black Funeral Home Chapel with Larry Kornegay officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodland Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc.

Virginia was born December 10, 1926, in Cleveland, Oklahoma the daughter of John Edward and Frankie Ann (Clines) Foulks. Virginia was raised in Cleveland where she began her education. She later graduated from Cleveland High School with the Class of 1945. Shortly after graduation Virginia was united in marriage to J.R. Bordenkircher in California on December 25, 1945. They made their initial home in Cleveland where they continued to reside until 1964, when the couple moved their family to Tulsa. In 1966, Virginia and J.R. separated and she accepted employment with Oklahoma Army Surplus as a bookkeeper and secretary. Mrs. Bordenkircher continued working there for nearly seven years and then she began working for U-Need-Um Tires as their secretary until the company was sold in 1980. Virginia then gained employment with the City of Tulsa and at her retirement in 1994 was the payroll clerk.

Mrs. Bordenkircher enjoyed watching game shows on television, dining out, crocheting as well as working in her yard and growing flowers.

Virginia passed away Friday, December 7, 2007 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 80 years 11 months and 27 days. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bordenkircher was preceded in death by her two sisters, eight brothers and son Francis Lane Bordenkircher.

Survivors include her children Ronald Wayne Bordenkircher and wife Susie of Lufkin, Texas; LuAnn Driezen and husband Herbert of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Galen Paul Bordenkircher and and wife Cindy of Owasso, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Ashley Dimmitt of Centerton, Arkansas; Kristen Evans of Bentonville, Arkansas; Specialist Lucas Driezen of Ft. Campbell, Kentucky currently serving in Iraq; Hannon Driezen of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Taylor Bordenkircher of Owasso, Oklahoma; three great-grandchildren, Brinleigh Grace Dimmitt, Hudson Graham Dimmitt both of Centerton, Arkansas; Hannah Abigail Evans of Bentonville, Arkansas and a host of other relatives and friends.
