Trilla June Procter

Trilla June Procter, 72, passed from this on August 29, 2019 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Born on July 9, 1947, in Grapevine Ridge, West Virginia, Trilla was the daughter of Vernon L. and Cathryn May (White) Reynolds. She attended school in Cameron, West Virginia. Trilla was baptized in the Seventh Day Adventist Church. On May 24, 1976, Trilla was wed to Walter Ray Procter, and the couple established their home in Jennings, Oklahoma. The couple worked at Oklahoma State University until Trilla became disabled.
Trilla always had a love for cats, taking many over the years into her home to raise. Walter would take Trilla on many trips back home to West Virginia to see her family. In her spare time, Trilla would make homemade candies. Sunday mornings were spent listening to the Sunday Morning gospel show singing along with the old hymns. Trilla would watch the old westerns on TV, naming off all the stars in the shows. Trilla had to have a Pepsi or two every day, along with Reese’s peanut butter cups.
Trilla is survived by her brother, Robert R. Reynolds, and his wife Donna of Cameron, West Virginia; and her sister, Anna L. Hunt of Moundsville, West Virginia. Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband, and an infant brother Craig Reynolds.
Services for Trilla will be held Wednesday, September 4, 2019, at 10:00 AM in the Chapman-Black Funeral Home Chapel in Cleveland, Oklahoma. Officiating will be Pastor Jake Knight. Services are under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home. An online guestbook is available at www.chapman-black.com.
