Tommy Jay Brown passed away on Monday, March 26, 2018 at the age of 64 years, 5 months and 23 days.

Tommy was born October 2, 1953 in Borger, Texas. He is the son of J.T. and Jewel (Cozbey) Brown. Tommy was raised in the Sand Springs area. He received his education at Central High School, graduation with the Class of 1972. After school Tommy started working at DX Refinery. On August 16, 1974 Tommy married Jane Kay Brown at the First Christian Church in Berryhill. They resided in Tulsa, Oklahoma for awhile than moved to College Station Texas to run and operate Windhells Donut Shop. In 1978, Tommy returned to Tulsa to work at Econo Body and Paint Shop till 1981. Tommy than started working as a machinist for Arrow Oil Tools. His last occupation was with Crosby until 2015.

Tommy enjoyed hunting, shooting guns and racing mustangs and motorcycles. His favorite movies where John Wayne Westerns and Dancing With The Wolves. He was a Civil War History buff and enjoyed visiting Civil War Battle Grounds. Tommy was a very patriotic person. Mt. Rushmore was a place he always wanted to go to. Tommy was a tuff and stubborn but a loving and caring husband.

Survivors are wife Jane of the home, two children JJ Carter and her husband Ted of Jennings, Oklahoma, Tommy Brown II of Oilton, Oklahoma; one brother Jerry Brown of Oilton, Oklahoma; one sister Marcella Massey of Tulsa, Oklahoma; six grandchildren Cody Carter, Corporal Jon Carter, Courtney McWhirt, Dylan Quick, Kyler Quick and Lylah Carter, brother and sister in laws, nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents J.T. and Jewel Brown, two sisters Edith Sue Brown, Emma Jean McComb.

Chapel Services will be held 3:00 pm Friday, March 30, 2018 at Chapman-Black Funeral Home with Rev. William Madewll officiating. Services are under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
