Tommy Eugene Goad passed away on Monday, August 3, 2009 at the OSU Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 62 years old. Tommy was born September 14, 1946 the son Jack and Betty (Goodman) Goad. As a young boy Tommy began attending school in Osage, Oklahoma. At the age of 12, Tommy contracted the devastating disease of Polio. However, Tommy never let that disease get him down, he was always was upbeat and an inspiration to others around him. Tommy loved watching football as well as wrestling. He also enjoyed to drawing and working the Rubikís Cube. Tommy loved Halloween time especially handing out candy to small children. One thing that Tommy was religious about was making sure to pray before every meal. One trait that Tommy had was to give everyone a hug or a kiss before they left. Survivors are his four sisters Dusty Ponder of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Sharon Goad of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Karen Starrett of Hallett, Oklahoma, Joan Gilley of Osage, Oklahoma as well as many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Tommy was preceded in death by his mother Betty Jo Goad, father Jack Goad and two siblings Johnny and Rita Faye Goad. Graveside services will be held at 9:00 am, Thursday, August 6, 2009 at the Osage Cemetery with Robert Annett officiating. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
