Theodore Otis Lamb, Jr. passed away at his home in Cleveland, Oklahoma, Thursday, October 29, 2015, at the age of 73 years and twenty seven days.

Ted was born October 2, 1942, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was the son of Ted Otis, Sr. and Audrey Oretha (Jackson) Lamb. Ted was raised and attended school in Tulsa later graduating from Edison High School. Following high school Ted attended the University of Tulsa and also joined the United States Air National Guard. On September 4, 1964, Ted was united in marriage to the loved of his life Sherry L. Ames. The couple established their initial home in Tulsa and later in 1967, Ted accepted employment with the Tulsa Fire Department. They soon moved to the Point Harbor area on Keystone Lake where they remained for several years. Ted and Sherry moved back to Tulsa and resided in several different places in the area. Ted worked for Accurate Fire Systems for many years in conjunction with his job at the Tulsa Fire Department. In 1999, Captain Ted Lamb retired from the Tulsa Fire Department. On September 11, 2001, Ted and Sherry returned to Cleveland at his current home.

Ted was an Oklahoma Sooner supporter in every way possible as well as a Dallas Cowboy fan. Ted and Sherry enjoyed traveling. They have taken trips to Yellowstone, Texas, Mexico and the Smokey Mountains. Ted’s most recent vacation with his family was to Disney World in Orlando this past summer. He had a wonderful sense of humor and always met someone with a smile. Spending time at the lake with his family was also a favorite time for Ted. Ted was also an active member of the First Baptist Church in Cleveland.

Survivors are his three children Mishell and her husband Robert Page of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Teddy and his wife Wendy Lamb of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Carla and her husband Craig Fack of Cleveland, Oklahoma; sister Janice Lamb Hensley and her husband Tom of Claremore, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren Robert Keith and Scott Page, Logan Lamb Andrews, Kenzie, Luke, Lily and Teddy Lee Lamb, Ashlee and Payton Fack, five great grandchildren Kendell, Brian, Kelby, Cohen, Caleb and numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Sherry Lee Lamb and son Scott Chapman Lamb.

Church services will be held 2:00 pm Monday, November 2, 2015, at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Gregory Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodland Cemetery with honors provided by the Tulsa Fire Department. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
