Stuart Cecil Beck

Stuart Cecil Beck, 53, passed from this life March 10, 2019, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born June 7, 1965, in Coffeyville, Kansas, Stuart was the son of Cecil Authur and Mildred Kathleen (Davis) Beck. He grew up and spend his childhood years in Coffeyville and Altamont, Kansas and graduated from Labette County High School in 1983. After high school, Stuart attended Ft. Scott Community College where he to be a diesel mechanic.

Stuart began working in a shop as a mechanic. He was fascinated with cars; the louder and faster they were, the better. He then worked at Wichita South East Kansas Transit (WSEK) in Parsons, Kansas before moving to Enid, Oklahoma to work for Groendyke. Stuart worked there for 13 years as a mechanic and shop foreman. Currently, Stuart was employed at Frontier International, now known as Summit Truck Group.

On June 3, 2006, Stuart married Lori Jan Livingston at the First Baptist Church in Enid, Oklahoma.
The Lion King play, Gunsmoke, Mystery Theater, and old movies were some of the shows Stuart enjoyed watching. He listened to 80s music as well as Christian Music. Stuart enjoyed eating Mexican food and breakfast food. He loved going places, like Branson, Missouri. Stuart was a great father, often referring to his daughter, Maranda, as his princess and loved cooking with her. When describing Stuart, the family said he had a big heart, loved everyone around him; he was a “big teddy bear” and a “gentle giant.”

Stuart is survived by wife Lori of the home; one daughter Maranda Sharp of Enid, Oklahoma; sister Kathleen Muth and her husband Dan of Fort Lupton, Colorado; father and mother-in-law Alan and Judy Livingston of Enid, Oklahoma, several nieces and nephews. Stuart is preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service for Stuart will be held Saturday, March 23, 2019, at HillSpring Church in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home in Cleveland, Oklahoma. Friends and loved ones can sign an online guestbook at www.chapman-black.com.
