Funeral services for Sandra Sue Wise of Yale, Oklahoma will be held Wednesday June 16, 2004 at 2:00 pm in the Chapman-Black Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jim Christian officiating. Burial will follow at the Terlton Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc.

Sandy was born July 27, 1946 in Yale, Oklahoma to Howard and Sadie (Deatherage) McDaniel. Sandy grew up and received her education in Oilton. She was very athletic and was an avid basketball player for Oilton High School. In 1963 Sandy graduated from Oilton High School. Shortly after high school Sandy enrolled in beautician school at Stillwater, Oklahoma. Upon her graduation from beautician school she moved to Choteau. She worked as a beautician in Choteau as well as Pryor.

Sandy later moved to Agra and enrolled in the Oklahoma City Police Academy. Upon her graduation, in 1976 she moved to Chandler as a police officer. Also, Sandy was a member of the Lincoln County Sheriffís office as a reserve deputy. Sandy later accepted employment in Agra as the Chief of Police, when she accepted that position, Sandy was one of the first Lady Police Chiefís in Oklahoma until 1983.

In 1983 Sandy moved to Drumright; at that time she met William Bert Wise. On January 26, 1984 she was united in marriage to Bert Wise in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. After their marriage they made their home in Oilton. Sandy and Bert also lived in Cushing and Drumright; and, since 1998 they made their home in Yale, Oklahoma.

Sandy was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Oilton. As a young mother in Chouteau she was baptized by Rev. Randy Huddleston; she was proud to profess her love of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Sandy was very loving and devoted to her friends and family, always making sure that their needs were met. Her smile brightened every room that she entered. Sandy also loved to be creative with arts and crafts including flower arranging. Sandy loved to watch the Sunday morning worship services on television it gave her so much peace and hope since she was unable to attend worship services.

Sandy went to be with her Lord and Savior Sunday June 13, 2004 at her home in Yale, Oklahoma at the age of 57 years 10 months and 16 days. Preceding her in death was her mother Sadie.

Survived by her loving husband Bert Wise, of the home; two children, Tina and her husband Brian Bales of Jennings, Oklahoma; Billy and his wife Sue Golliver of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; father, Howard McDaniel of Oilton, Oklahoma; extended children, Lisa Wise Wolk and her husband Kerry of Highland, California; Bill Wise and his wife Celia of Highland, California; Jim Bayura of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Ben Wise and his wife Jennifer of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; two brothers, Rick McDaniel and his wife Pam of Stroud, Oklahoma; Ted McDaniel and his wife Marilyn of Tulsa, Oklahoma; one sister, Kathy Hancock of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Eric and Tyler Bales of Jennings, Oklahoma; Gabriel Golliver of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; extended grandchildren, Candace Golliver of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; Billy, Michael, Amber, Christopher, Jennifer and Lacey Wise, Jordaniel and Alyssa Wolk all of Highland, California; Jacob Wise of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
