Ronny Edward Anson, Sr.

Ronny Edward Anson, Sr. was born November 22, 1946 in Clovis, New Mexico. He was the son of Harry Earl and Margie Nadine (Allen) Anson. Ronny was raised and attended school in Clovis. He was baptized into the family of Christ as a young adult at the Oak Street Baptist Church in Clovis, New Mexico.

Upon completion of his education, Ronny was employed by Westbrook Glass for many years. While working there, Ronny was married to Floy Sue Rainey on March 7, 1968. The couple had four children, Johnny Edward, Nadine Louise, Ronny Edward, Jr. and Randy Earl. Floy preceded him in death in 1986.

Ronny was married to Debra Gibbs on May 28, 1988. After their marriage the couple moved to Blackwell, Oklahoma in 1990 when Ronny joined his brothers, Larry and Bob in the daily operation of the Anson Memorial Company, a full service monument company. Upon his medical retirement in 2003, Ronny and Debra moved to Cleveland, Oklahoma to enable Ronny to enjoy his life long hobby of fishing.

Ronny was quite the computer buff and loved helping others. He will continue to be admired and loved by many as a kind, loving and gentle, sweet soul; often described as a Good Samaritan. He will be sorely missed but we all know we will see him again over yonder and we look forward to that day of rejoicing. He was often heard when asked what he was doing, "Just millering around the house." He enjoyed many types of music but two of his favorite songs were, "Caliga was a wooden Indian" and "My Buckets Got A Hole In It."

Ronny passed away on Monday, October 15, 2007 at the St. John Medical Center in Tulsa at the age of sixty years, ten months and twenty-three days. In addition to his first wife, Ronny was preceded in death by his father, Harry Earl Anson in 2005 and a granddaughter, Tamara Rose in 1993.

He is survived by his wife, Debra of the home; mother, Nadine Anson of Clovis, New Mexico who recently moved to Terlton, Oklahoma; four children, Johnny Edward Anson of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Nadine Louise Anson of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Ronny Edward, Jr. and his wife, Cindy Anson of Ponca City, Oklahoma, Randy Earl and his wife, Kristy Anson of Ponca City, Oklahoma; twelve grandchildren whom he loved dearly, Chuck, Dustin, Brandon, Lance, Kodi, Cory, Kyle, Colton, Kaiden, Victoria, Kevin and Adrianna; two brothers, Bob and Betty Anson of Arkansas City, Kansas, Larry and Sarah Anson of Rolla, Missouri; two sisters, Sharon and Steve Miller of Gresham, Oregon, Kathy and James Broach of Terlton, Oklahoma; four aunts, Althea and Chief Mann of White Swan, Washington, Cleta and the late Vester Nutt of Clovis, New Mexico, Jean and Kenneth Workheiser of Clovis, New Mexico and Dorothy and Richard Smith of Scottsdale, Arizona.
