Robert Lee Warden, Sr. better know to his friends and family as Bob was born July 2, 1944 in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Charles Oscar Warden, Sr. and Bonnie (Penny). Bob grew up in the Pawnee area where he attended school. During his senior year Bob transferred to Quay where he graduated. Soon after high school Bob began working for C.E. Natco in Sand Springs. On January 2, 1965 he was united in marriage to Lucille Moffit in Pawnee, Oklahoma. After their marriage they made their home in Oilton. During this time Bob began working for Flo-Bend in 1970 after the closure of National Tank. Bob remained with Flo-Bend until 1979 when he accepted employment with Webco. Bob and Lucille moved to their present home in Jennings during 1988. In the summer of 1996 Bob gained employment with the City of Jennings as head of the water department. In 1999 Bob completed his CLEET Training and was then a member of the Jennings Police Department as a reserve officer.

Bob loved to hunt, fish, and weld metal in to animals during his spare time. He was also in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict and a member of the Masonic Lodge 151 in Jennings. Bob was in addition a man that was willing to help anyone no matter what the situation was.

Bob passed away Thursday, July 29, 2004 at Cleveland, Oklahoma at the age of 60 years and 27 days. He was preceded in death by his, mother Bonnie Berg, step mother, Gerdie and an infant brother Charles Oscar Warden, Jr.

Survived by his wife, Lucille of the home; two sons, Robert Lee Warden Jr. of Tulsa, Oklahoma; J.R. Bass of the home; three daughters, Vanessa Bass of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; Rhonda Bearden of Tulsa, Oklahoma; Lanessa L. Bass of the home; father, Charles Warden, Sr. of Pawnee, Oklahoma; five brothers, Steve Warden of Perry, Oklahoma; John Berg of Guthrie, Oklahoma; Gary Berg of Lawton, Oklahoma; Wayne Warden of Arkansas; Roger Warden of Glencoe, Oklahoma; three sisters, Barbara Love of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Charlene Porter of Edmond, Oklahoma; Marilyn First of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Robin and James Bradbury, Tulsa, Oklahoma; Kevin Bass of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; two step great grandsons; four step great granddaughters and one great great grandson.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 3, 2004 at 2:00 pm in the Chapman-Black Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. J. W. Wright and assisted by Pastor Larry Schiller and Harrison Gibson officiating. Burial will follow at Jennings Cemetery under the direction of Chapman-Black Funeral Home, Inc.
