Richard Don Toney known to his friends and family as Ricky passed from this life on March 24, 2020, at the age of 45 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Ricky was born on May 4, 1974, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was the son of Richard Bonny Don and Linda Jane (Cross) Toney. Ricky started his education at Springdale Elementary in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He later attended Epperly School in Oklahoma City before returning to the Tulsa area with his parents. Ricky attended Cleveland Junior High before moving to Prue, Oklahoma where he graduated with the Class of 1992. Following high school Ricky attended school at Tulsa Junior College. While attending school in Tulsa Ricky accepted a position at the Tulsa movie theater. On March 4, 1997, Ricky was united in marriage to Michele Lee Bosserman. The two made their initial home in Sand Springs. Ricky also worked at Walmart in Sand Springs for several years before working as a CNA. In 2017, Ricky accepted employment with Tulsa Air Gas as a temporary employee and was currently working in the accounting department for Tulsa Air Gas. Ricky was one assignment away from obtaining his Bachelors degree in Accounting. With that degree Ricky was looking forward to a promotion within the company. He was a highly regarded employee and team leader with those he worked with.

Ricky had many hobbies. Some of them include video games, watching horror films, Ghost Hunting shows, movies or anything that was electronic. His favorite places to eat were fast-food. Ricky was very quick witted with a little sarcasm in his comments but always willing to help others that were in a bind. Ricky had a wonderful sense of humor which always seemed to make others smile.

Survivors include is his son Zander Toney of Sand Springs, Oklahoma; mother Linda Toney of Osage, Oklahoma; brothers Jesse Toney of Osage, Oklahoma, Dustin Toney of Osage, Oklahoma and many other relatives and friends. Ricky was preceded in death by his father Richard Toney.


Burial will be held at a later date in the Osage Cemetery in Osage, Oklahoma. Visitation will be held of Saturday evening from 5 pm will 7 pm at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home. Friends and family may visit an online guest book and memorial page for Ricky at www.chapman-black.com.
