Regina Kay Hames, 64, passed from this life on Tuesday, October 4th, 2022, at her home in Jennings, OK. She was born on August 26th, 1958, to Vernon and Wilma (Hoobler) Warford, in Tulsa, where she was raised and received her education. On October 26th, 1984, in Miami, OK, Regina and Ronald Hames were joined in marriage. They resided in Tulsa until 1995, then permanently moved to Jennings. Regina was employed as a Housekeeper for several years at the Cleveland Manor Nursing Home. She spent many years selflessly serving others and the generosity of her time was never left unnoticed. Her kindness and love of people was a reflection of her everyday life. After retiring, she enjoyed spending time with her mom, going shopping, venturing out to yard sales; watching TV, especially game shows; and going to the casino. Her greatest joy, in her final year of life was taking care of her one and only great granddaughter, Avery Rose, whom she dearly adored.


Regina is lovingly remembered and survived by her husband, Ronald; mother, Wilma Warford of Cleveland; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Rachael Gerwitz of Sand Springs, grandson’s, Wyatt, and Carson; and granddaughter, Aspen and her fiancé, Robert of Broken Arrow. She is also survived by her cherished daughter, Amanda and son-in-law, Marcus Kight, granddaughter, Molly and her fiancé, Bradley, granddaughter, Megan and grandson, Cary, all of Cleveland. She has one surviving brother and sister-in-law, Kerby and Joy Warford, of Sand Springs. Finally, she leaves behind her most treasured great granddaughter, Avery Rose. She was Preceded in death by her father, Vernon Warford.


Funeral services for Regina will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Chapman-Black Funeral Home with Pastor James Kearney of Sand Springs Rimrock Baptist Church. Committal Services will be at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa. Public visitation is from 10am-7pm on Monday, October 10, 2022, at the Chapman-Black Funeral Home.
