Raymond Reed Byrom passed from this life on August 8, 2021 at the age of 86 in Cleveland, OK.

Raymond was born on October 31, 1934, in Blackburn, Oklahoma. Raymond was the son of son of Grandville Reed and Clora (McCroskey) Byrom. Raymond attended the schools Pleasant Mound and Hallett. Raymond joined the U.S. Marines at the young age of 17. He was stationed in Japan and served one tour. Raymond was united in marriage to Donna Little on August 24, 1957, in Pawnee, Oklahoma. Following his honorable discharge Raymond returned to the Cleveland area gained employment with C.E. Natco worked there for over 28 years when they closed the facility in 1984. Raymond worked odd jobs and started his hobby of wood carving. He made numerous different kinds of carvings from Indian arts work to, eagles as well as many other animals and his one most prized art work was his carousel horse and buffalo art piece.

Raymond loved to fish and especially hunt. He traveled to Colorado yearly for over 30 years straight hunting deer and elk. Raymond coached for over seven years little league baseball at Westport. He also enjoyed varmit hunting.


Survivors are his wife Donna of the home; two children Randy Byrom of Cleveland, Oklahoma, Vicky Findly of Cleveland, Oklahoma; four granddaughters Melissa Brown Michelle Blatchford, Krystal Chase, Rebekah Duffendack; great grandchildren Ashely, Kaylin, Colton, Kaleb, Kylie, Bryson, Jonathon, Alisha, Kaden, Kenley, and Kylie Duffendack, and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents Raymond was preceded in death by his daughter Jana Gail Kennedy, sisters Dora Brown, Opal Baker, Louise Collins; brothers: Paul Byrom, Harold Byrom, Earnest Byrom, Howard Byrom, Roy Byrom and Albert Byrom, Clarence Byrom.
