Phillip Paul Hartman

Phillip Paul Hartman, Sr., resident of rural Cleveland, passed away at his home at the age of 59 years. Phillip was born November 5, 1959, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Marvin Edward and Lucy Elmira (Bohanon) Hartman. He was raised in Tulsa the first few years of his life before the family moved to Cleveland where he completed his education at Cleveland High School. After high school, he attended vocational school learning auto mechanics. He started his career as an auto mechanic. Later, he was employed with Can Do Lubrication Company traveling the state of Oklahoma. Phillip was baptized at the Westport Baptist Church, where he was a lifelong member. In his spare time, he was an avid sportsman and hunter, until his health made it impossible for him.
Phillip is survived by his mother, Lucy Hartman-Sumner of the Westport area, a daughter Megan Hartman, two sons; Phillip Hartman, Jr. and Samuel Paul, and two step daughters; Amanda Gill and Kelsey Cartledge. Also surviving him are a half brother, Wallace, and a half sister, Connie. Phillip is preceded in death by his father and a brother, Marvin Edward Hartman, Jr.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at the Ridgelawn Cemetery in Collinsville, Oklahoma, with Reverend Fred Kerr and Reverand Ray Earley officiating. Services are entrusted to Chapman-Black Funeral Home in Cleveland, Oklahoma. Friends can view an online guestbook at www.chapman-black.com.
